This was, despite being easy, the most frustrating class I've ever taken at any level of schooling. Cline is a nice guy, and a genius, but he has no business teaching an intro class, this one at least. The course boils down to two facts: the universe is really, really big, and we don't know if there's any other life in it. That's it. It's mind-bogglingly boring. If you want to raise your GPA I guess it would help, but you're going to suffer for it. Take Astro 3. You won't regret it.

After reading all the bad reviews about astro 6, I decided to try astro 5 with Cline anyway. Astro 5 was a VERY interesting class. Discussion was rather useless. Both midterms and final were rather easy, and all multiple choice. Sometimes they asked obscure number questions though. Overall I would recommend prof. Cline for astro 5.

Cline led a very successful class. The subject material is very interesting, and although he sometimes seems to get off topic, he usually slaps himself right back into the groove. He didn't really answer questions very well, but it didn't matter because there were never good questions. I recommend him to all. Sincerely,

Sam

I'm a North campus major through and through, and I aced this class with ease. Take it to bump your GPA up a notch.

I swear that this is the EASIEST class that I've ever taken (I'm a 5th year whose taken ALL the easy ones too). Don't pay attention to anything that anyone else on this page wrote about his class being tough, or that there's too much math. Never go to discussion, show up to every other lecture and study for about 2 hours in the morning before the test and you'll be fine. Just kick back and enjoy his tripped out notions of the universe once in a while and you'll have no problems. He's extremely smart, and he goes over all the important stuff at least 3 times before the test. Take this class for a nice GPA booster and some interesting conceptions of life on earth.
