I switched out of the psych major at the beginning of the quarter, but I couldn't get into anything else and Oppenheimer's lectures seemed interesting so I stayed despite not receiving any real credit for this class. I wish I'd opted for P/NP because I'm a little concerned about the final. Midterm was hard but the class is curved, so we'll see how it ends up. Oppenheimer is a super great, entertaining lecturer, but a really tough grader. However, lab and homework credit are just participation credit, plus they drop the lowest homework score (so you can skip/forget one without consequence), so there's some cushion for the grade despite the hard exams. Friday lab is long but not too hard and can be interesting if you like research design. There's no textbooks and the required reading for Friday lab is really not necessary. Overall, I'd recommend this class as a fun intro psych course, but definitely not an easy A from what I can tell so far. He's a nice guy and very willing to help.
