This was my last class on a Tues/Thurs when I already had four hours of lectures for other classes beforehand. It was so hard to stay awake in this class. The midterm and final are all problems, but we might have actually done 2 or 3 problems in the whole of the class. We go through an entire book with problems, but he only gives us solutions to some of them. I got a D on the midterm, but got lucky with the final because he mostly reused questions so I managed to pull a B in the class.
Pretty easy class, if i put in a little more effort i could have gotten an A but was focusing on another final. You can skip class, read the book, and get an A (what a lot of people did). Small "textbook" which explains everything super well, def one of the easier econ electives. I'd recommend taking it and would take him again.
I've had Fujii for both 137 and 102 and both times he's been a completely straightforward professor which makes him above average. His lectures are based off of slides that he posts online and the exams are based off the slides and book problems. Through the six exams (both classes were 2 midterms for 25% and final for 50%), I saw maybe two questions I didn't expect. The quantity of material is pretty substantial and I wasn't super interested which made it tough, but as a professor, I have a lot of respect for Fujii.
