I would highly recommend her. Her lectures are very interesting and as long as you take good notes you can manage to do well on the exams. She usually co-teaches this course with professor Repetti which is not as effective as Yee-Bradbury, but over all I think the class was not hard as long as you do the readings and take good lecture notes. The exams are not tricky at all they are straight forward.

Yee is a pretty good lecturer. She is not amazing, but she is interesting enough to keep your attention. She also explains the material reasonably.

Her tests, however, are absurd. I studied all the important stuff like how the psychopathologies work, diagnosis, treatment and subtypes. Studying the important stuff, however, got me a C. I expected questions like 'how does schizoprenia work', 'how do you treat mania', or 'how can one differentiate various anxiety disorders'. Rather, there were questions like 'in the video you saw in class, what disease did mary have?' (this was an actual question that appeared on a test.) Given that we saw multiple videos and I didnt take notes on the names of the patients, I could only guess. It was funny how the test covered so much irrevelent stuff that I am sure a Clinical Psychologist with a PHD would not have gotten an A without memorizing unimpotant bulletpoints.

Furthermore she is not very helpful. I missed a week of school with 103 fever and had to miss a test, and Yee would not let me make it up or do anything about it.

Lastly, if she is co-teaching with Repetti I recommend you not take the course. Repetti is the worst and most unhelpful teacher I have ever had.

I found this class to be not only incredibly easy, but really interesting as well. I never once had trouble staying awake in class, because I found the lectures fascinating. Pay attention in lecture and keep up with the reading, and that's all the studying you have to do. Probably the easiest A I've ever gotten here.

For me, maybe it's the material or the subject, but I found this class rather boring. I took the class co taught by Prof Repetti and Prof Yee-Bradbury. I have to agree with the review before me (the one dated 6/10) - it wasn't a terribly interesting class, even though these professors are knowledgable in their field. I think it may have their teaching styles - they like to discuss things in detail - even administrative issues, things that we, as students, should already know how to do, such as access our exam grades through my.ucla. Their exams are fair - four 25 point multiple choice exams, with the exam with the lowest grade dropped. The content of these exams pertains to the lectures (and the book really just supplimented these lectures) but since I never found the class interesting, I slept through most of the lectures, I'm ashamed to admit. So, it's a judgement call if you want to take the class with her - it's not horrible, she seems nice enough and the class is pretty fair, but it is certainly not a groundbreaking experience either.

I am taking this class, which is actually co-taught by Prof. Yee-Bradbury and Prof. Repetti. It is my favorite class at UCLA so far. Both profs are outstanding lecturers. The material is presented clearly, it's interesting, and I love the case study videos we get to watch in class. The exams are fair, but I wish they contained more items--there are only 25 per exam. But the lowest score of the four exams is dropped, which is nice. I would definitely recommend Yee-Bradbury, especially for this class.
