Quarter: Fall 2016
Grade: B-
Feb. 23, 2018

Grading in this class is very subjective. I brought my essay into her office hours a few days before it was due for revisions, and she gave me a bunch of revisions to make. Then I asked her, "If I were to hand in this essay as it is, what would I get?". And she said, "I can't answer that question... I'd have to read everyone else's essays first and then see."
That made me mad, because the quality of my writing should not depend on anyone else's. I actually made all the revisions she had told me to make, and only received a B- on the paper.
To give y'all a sense of how good a writer I am, I got a 3 on the AP Lang & Comp exam, and only answered 39 out of 50 of the multiple choice questions. That's right; I ran out of time and left 11 questions blank, yet my writing was so good that I still passed. There's no reason I should've gotten a B- in composition.
She's a chill professor and gives only like 3 essays throughout the quarter though... if you can figure out how to write in such a way that she likes, you should be fine.
