Environment 185A is a really fun seminar class. Every week, we would have guest lecturers that would talk to us about something environment related. The guest speakers are amazing people, and they really are changing the world. The Professor listed does not come to any of the classes, and I have never seen him before. Instead, two undergraduate seniors supervised the class. Both of these individuals were extremely friendly and helpful, and made it clear to us what was expected to do well in the class. Please note that this is 1 unit Pass/No Pass class, so the workload is very light and easy. Every week, we would complete a Google Doc where we would ask the guest lecturers for that week some interesting questions. We also had to find an article about them and briefly summarize it. In class, we had to write a summary about the speakers and turn it in at the end of the class. This was how they checked our participation, which a decent part of your grade. This means that in order to pass the class, you must attend most of the weekly classes. If you cannot attend them, you have to do a make-up assignment. I learned a lot in this class and it was one of my favorites. Overall, a really easy one unit class.
