I was really glad that I took this class. Easy class on a very interesting subject. Like others say, her lectures have ups and downs - not always interesting but sometimes I stay focused for the whole class. But on the good side, you only need to memorize the slides for midterm and final, and submit one essay for the whole quarter. Her grading is also pretty lenient. I actually received B on my midterm (ughh hate memorizing) but aced all the other assignments and ended up with an A. It's doable. The only caveat is that the subject itself can be very confusing to people with no background in art history or Korean culture. As a South campus major, learning the art history stuff was pretty new but I did fine since the subject was very familiar to me. So if you are a non-major and don't have any background/interest on Korean art/culture, at least Asian art/culture, I wouldn't recommend it. But I personally liked the class and I plan to take another course with Jungmann.
