Griffith is an amazing professor and I plan on taking him again next quarter. Would highly recommend anybody to take his class at least once. Incredibly nice and if you love history is an amazing person to discuss with.

Great professor! The class was asynchronous, and lectures were posted every week for us to watch. Each week included discussions and readings, which were short and manageable. The discussions had questions based on the readings from two classes, and we had to choose four prompts to respond to each week. The discussions were graded fairly and easily. There was also a Document Analysis assignment and a film/documentary review that we had to complete.

The final analytical essay was a bit challenging but doable. We had three questions to choose from, and the criteria required a minimum of 6 (but no more than 8) full pages, using both secondary (including lectures) and primary source readings from at least four weeks, with adequate engagement with a minimum of 6 secondary and 12 primary sources.

Overall, the content was very interesting and engaging, and the grading was fair.

This review is for History 187 with Professor Griffith. He is a really cool professor and very helpful! Definitely go to his office hours because he will help you out a lot. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot. He is very knowledgeable about his field.
