I took Calculus BC and Math HL in high school, so this course wasn't too hard. I started off badly though, and got an F on the midterm. By the end I pulled up my course grade to a B, but I went to all of my TA's office hours and did every example problem in the book. This course isn't impossible, you just have to work hard! Go to your TA's office hours, read the book (and do the example problems), do your homework and most importantly go to PROFESSOR SHEEHAN'S OFFICE HOURS! He is extremely helpful and on the morning of the second midterm I went to his office hours and he gave hints and explained what would later be on the midterm. Good professor, good class. Just don't fail the quizzes.

If you take Brendan Sheehan, you're gonna have to master the homework and quizzes. I didnt, which was why I failed his two midterms, and dropped the class last quarter. But I am currently taking 32A with Radko, and I am at the top of my class.
Sheehan's class is filled with Asian geniuses who destroy the curve, so dont count on the curve to save you.
However, his midterms are hard but his finals are extremely easy. One of my friends got a 7% on the first midterm and passed the class at B-.
Also, his TAs suck. My TA always cheats me out of points, sometimes even half the grade!
So if you take Sheehan, you must be prepared to master the homework, and deal with a usually cocky, strict TA, and respect him/her to death (or make it look like you are)!

Sheehan is a good professor, his office hours are very useful and he is really good at explaining the material. It's also refreshing not to have a professor with an accent. However, I got a 5 on the BC Calc exam, and that being said, I got a C+ in this class. I understood all of the material but the tests were extremely hard, or would have a couple problems that really took a lot of intelligence to get even partial credit on. On my second midterm, I studied my ass off and I knew the material really well. I ended up getting full credit on all of the problems, except one, and they were all 20 pts, so I got a 78 on the midterm. His grading policy isn't lenient and the class is usually filled with Asian geniuses that set the curve at 100%. Only take this class if you are naturally brilliant or OK with getting a C when you work your ass off.

Very good lecturer, but not much fun. I've never seen someone so serious. But it is kinda funny when he waves his arms around. If you've had him you know what I mean. On the bad side, he grades pretty hard. Don't count on partial credit, because he isn't inclined to give much of it.

I loved this professor! His lectures are easy to follow, and the course itself is pretty straight-forward. It takes a lot of studying and practice, but that's what you get when you're taking multivariable calculus. If you are interested in math, he is a great professor to talk to and listen to. He is a really chill, friendly professor who is always available to help, and always explains everything crystal clear. He once stayed in office hours during finals week for an extra 2 hours or so just to go over some key concepts and chat about math and any other questions we came up with. Really great professor, and I think if you put the time in, you'll learn a lot too.

Leatures are straight from the book. The quiz questions is also one or two problems from the book. The exams are difficult because you need to know and understand definitions and proofs. Also, on the exam, make sure that you can solve the really hard problems in the textbook because they will be on the exam, and read/understand all of the examples. If you think you may have trouble on a particular area of the subject, go get tutoring right away. This professor will make the exams difficult. BE PREPARED TO FAIL EVEN IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE HOMEWORK!!!!!!! Do all of the problems, not just the assigned ones. If you're a transfer student, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR!

Great Professor. His lecture is well organized and easy to follow. His materials on tests are partly from practices in the book. So, just go through the book, u will get an A. I got an A without spending too much time.

Sheehan was great! His lectures were straight from the book, and he would go through the examples and make sure they're well explained. Midterms and final weren't too bad at all, they required some conceptual knowledge and some understanding of related concepts, but nothing too extreme. The median for the final was an 87%... if that gives you a clue. Quizzes in discussion were pretty straightforward as well, a lot of the time they would be unassigned homework problems from the section, so studying other problems in the section would definitely help for the quizzes. My TA was good, overall moderately easy and good!

He's a really good professor. follows the textbook and assigns problems that help understand the material. he's a good lecturer and is very organized. it helped that my ta, shagnik das, was also really good. weekly quizzes were given during discussion, but if you did the homework, you pretty much aced the quiz. the only problem is that his test questions are very hard and require you to go beyond just understanding the concepts.

Professor Sheehan was very consistent with notation, using the same as the textbook which was very helpful. Weekly quizzes were verbatim homework problems or very similar, and the class had a very high average. Lecture was helpful, and his explanations were very clear. Exam questions look nothing like the homework or quizzes, much harder.
