Spring 2021 - Definitely take this course, it's enjoyable, and the workload was my saving grace in this class. Most of us got A's and the professor is incredibly personable and works with her students, not against them. Although I felt like this class was easy, the quizzes can be slightly challenging for two reasons -- although its open book you have to answer those questions quick. I got an A on the midterm but I literally had like 2 minutes to spare to double-check answers. ALSO for the love of god, pay attention to the movies she shows in class. She asked like 6 questions about one of the films we viewed and I was not expecting that. Other than that, this class is a breeze and widens your perspective on parenting.

Summer 2024 - I very much enjoyed this class. I have been wanting to take this class since my first year and was very excited when I actually enrolled for this session. Everything was incredibly interesting, and the professor was beyond helpful throughout. I loved the transparency with everything that was discussed, whether it was course topics or even personal information in regards to future career planning. The exams are very straight forward, readings and assignments are all relevant and helpful to gaining a deeper understanding of the topics. Everything about this class was amazing. It was absolutely amazing to learn from Professor Goff and I hope to work more with her in the future! This was one of my favorite classes I've taken at UCLA.

Winter 2019 - 188B classes vary but the one I took this Winter was called "A Dynamic Perspective on Parenting" and it was excellent. We watched many documentaries, the lectures were entertaining, slides and audios of the lecture were posted on CCLE. The 4 written assignments were not difficult and I actually enjoyed writing them. The exams were multiple choice with one essay question (prompt was given in advance) and they were relatively easy as well. I love this class and I loved being taught by professor Goff! Take it!
