Quarter: N/A
Grade: N/A
Oct. 31, 2008

As hinted by the course's title, I took the class thinking we'd be reading and analyzing literature from a wide array of genres. American litrerature after all, is usually as diverse as the population's heritage. Unfortunately, he narrowed the genre to focus on mystery, NONE other. He explained how he had a personal pleasure for mystery novels and essentially used it to justify the singualr focus. Ok, I know professors are human so I tried to stick that out. But then came A NOVEL A WEEK assignments that kicked my toosh sky high! The quarter system in itself is brutal enough, but to then stack on reading a novel a week makes it murder! Again, I tried to be tolerant but it's hard, particuarly with his unorganized lectures he derives off constant student comments. And office hours? He's there (most of the time) but usually tries to rush you along because he scoots in an hour prior to class and needs to assemble the day's lecture from blank.
