Radd is a tremendous professor. He's charming, charismatic, funny, and makes the material very interesting with his teaching style. I was fortunate to take his class -- he made it engaging and worth attending. He's the opposite of those unapproachable, cold and overly-serious professors who roam the halls of Bunche; he's what this school needs more of. Take his class if you can. Any one of them.

His lectures are amazing but this class had a grader that was crazy unreasonable. There were only 7 short response questions for the make up for the entire class and the grade was giving out like 5 9/10s on the upper end for quite a large class. So everyone in this class ended up with a lower grade which was really unfair because the lectures were so engaging and it did not reflect how well the class did as a whole.

Professor Radd is an incredible professor, a breath of fresh air for the PoliSci department. He is knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects he teaches. He takes the time to engage with students at all levels. Word about him is going around fast, everyone I know has loved his classes and they fill up quickly. Highly recommend!

Professor Radd is an excellent lecturer who is great at explaining all the material in a way that is very engaging and very humorous. The format of his classes are done so that the first half is the lecture while the second half is entirely based on (optional) class discussions which gives ample opportunity to ask questions and voice your opinions in class. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an interesting political science upper div without too much stress.

This class will give you a very thorough perspective on Iran's government and foreign relations. Tests are tough and oftentimes require remembering seemingly irrelevant facts, but at the end of the course he curves generously.

I took PS139: Iran and the West with Professor Radd and it has been hands down the best class I've taken thus far. His lectures are extremely engaging, filled with puns, and are perfect for the visual learner. The readings complement the lectures perfectly and are interesting to read. Would 10/10 recommend this class to anyone.
