Anna is such an amazing Professor! I took German 1 just for fun and I think it was a great class. Anna was very helpful and accommodating. She was always there to help and she was very patient. If you are struggling with German make sure to go to her office hours. She will definitely make time for you. I will take German again with Professor Anna if I have the chance! (:

Anna was a great TA for German 3. After taking a break from German over the summer, I was quite overwhelmed coming into this class, but she slowed things down and made sure everyone was caught up. I would say that the workload was sometimes difficult to manage, and that staying ahead of the deadlines was important. You have a week to take the timed tests with a lockdown browser, and you get two attempts. While this class may have been better in person since the class size is so small, Anna did a great job of making it feel personal and giving you constructive feedback on your assignments. She is also very flexible, so if something comes up, just let her know and you often can work something out. I enjoyed her class so much that I decided to take German 4!

Doing this review a little late because Bruinwalk didn't have Anna teaching this class until now, but I had Anna for German 3-5 and she did a great job. The tests in this class are not bad, as there are practice quizzes for you to do before. If I remember correctly, you are still doing some grammar in this class and the writing definitely starts to pick up here. I honestly questioned whether my level was high enough to be in this class, but Anna convinced me to stay and it was worth it. I actually just finished German 6 this quarter and it was amazing. If she is teaching it, definitely take it!

Again, a little late to review, but this class was again great because Anna does a great job. The writing and workload definitely picked up in this class, and the readings were also much harder and we even read a play in German. It was quite rewarding to see how far my German had come in just a year and a half, but Anna has much to do with that. I appreciate her so much, and I would definitely recommend attending her office hours if you can! It is a great to practice your German. Overall, the German TAs are great, such a good department. And also the tests are very doable, just do the practice quizzes.
