Gosh, where do I even start?

This woman is completely unprofessional, and rude. She repeatedly would come late to class, sending students emails about how "sunset is very bad," and that she was still stuck in traffic. When she did show up to class, she would usually talk about herself, or some other irrelevant thing. She would constantly put students on blast if they didn't do a homework assignment correctly, and she made the class learn the Armenian alphabet within the first TWO WEEKS of the quarter!!! She has ridiculous demands for learning the language, and would cancel her Friday classes for her own conveniences and try to make us think she was doing us the favor.

Also, get this, she INTERRUPTED the class during our final to read us her Facebook status about feminism. I can't believe this woman is a professor at this university. And if you do take her, or have taken her, she has a thing for male students and always lets them pass on turning in assignments late but would blatantly hold female students to a different standard. She caters to native Armenian speakers and claims she "works with" those who are not so great at the language, yet she would fly through lecture material so fast that we'd have to have several "reviews" to even keep up with material. I can't believe I wasted a quarter with this woman. She seems charming, welcoming, and open to students but I had to learn the hard way that this was just a first-day impression. Terrible professor.

Warning: if you do know Armenian and are looking for an easy A, take this class, but she tries to intimidate you into taking her much more difficult Armenian courses in her other series. She claims that if you act like you don't know Armenian and she "feels" as if you have lied to stick around in the class, she will "resent" you. Whatever that means. What's it to her anyway? She has no right to do that.

Good luck if you're considering this professor, not many choices out there, so take your pick.
