Quarter: Winter 2019
Grade: P

This class is basically just the coolest weekend field trip with the prof and his grad students. Prof Yin is an absolute legend and prefers to be addressed as just that (i.e. Dear Greatest in the Universe Professor Yin, never 'Hey An', trust me on this). For the winter class we visited Death Valley and it was a real blast being on the road and constantly seeing the most fascinating sights and talking geology and shit with him. Don't worry if you have no camping experience, I didn't either and it was all good and we had tons of fun. Anyways if you have even the slightest interest in geology or appreciation for nature you will enjoy this class and may even find yourself considering a major change :) I took this fiat lux to expand my horizons and it sure as hell has made me consider some new options

Not actually E&S 19.
COOLEST PROFESSOR EVER! He might be hard, but he's a very good professor. He's the best professor I've had so far and probably one of the best you will get in UCLA. Just search him on google "An Yin Mars" and you'll know what I mean! TAKE HIS CLASS! Also, he is handsome. Tell him that, he likes it :)
