It's a difficult class because it is hard to grasp the concepts just by looking at the pre-solved problems during lectures. The professor's work on the slides is hard to follow. Across the board, the exam averages were very low, but it did help that the grades were curved at the end.
Professor Chatterjee was very effective in teaching the fundamental concepts of dynamics. His teaching was basically based on the fact that you must learn the "fundamentals" and if you know that, you can do any problem given to you. His midterm was pretty hard with the average being a 52%. However, his final was a lot easier and were problems from his lecture slides altered a little bit. My advice is to attend lectures because there are things not in his slides that he mentions in class. You will learn a lot from his class if you put in the time and effort.
