People in Parks: Public Space and Participation
Description: (Same as Public Affairs M98T.) Seminar, three hours. Requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. First years and sophomores preferred. Bridging perspectives from urban planning, design, and the humanities, consideration of how parks shape people and how people shape parks. Students develop an understanding of the socio-spatial relationships between participation and public space, in geographic and historical context. Letter grading.
