Description: Lecture, three hours. Urban social and ecological change are intertwined and coproduced. Inquiry into how we can better understand and intervene in this critical relationship, in global context of technological promise, extensive urbanization, ecological crises, and increasingly isolationist and splintered societies. Examination of big problems, and big ideas and big plans that may be necessary to address them as well as what enables large-scale urban environmental projects to be conceived and implemented.
