Spring 2018 - I think Sean cares a lot about his students and spends a lot of time on making his presentations. I also think he is on the verge of caring a little too much in the sense that the amount of work he requires for the class is a lot on such broad topics and the grading for the class is unnecessarily difficult. This is in terms of the essays. The majority of the grading for the class is based on the essays you have at the end of the quarter. The last one was like a 10 page research paper. I found that super annoying, especially because a lot of what was given was pretty broad in terms of the assignments of which you're supposed to incorporate into the essays. I feel like everyone loathes this portion of 101C for good reason. It certainly is the most difficult in the series, but it seriously does not have to be. I think the problem is the harshness of the essay grading even though everyone does a good job.

Professor Sorgenfrei could be the most intelligent individual under the sun, and no one would have any idea. She is frighteningly immature, and whines like a three year old. Not only does she have no respect for her students, she has no respect for herself. I cannot believe that TFT allows her to stay her while she throws her daily temper tantrums. I have often found, when I gather the strength and stamina to listen to her lectures, that she is quite bright, and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, her personal insecurities get in the way of conveying anything in an effective manner. She wants her students to fail, and made that clear with her wildly impossible midterm in which every other question was a trick. On the other hand, I feel for her because she is obviously such an unhappy person.
