Description: Seminar, three hours. Requisite: satisfaction of Entry-Level Writing requirement. Freshmen/sophomores preferred. Examination of narratives that depict life under dictatorships in 20th-century Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Engaging with literature and film, consideration of relationships between politics and creative production, between repression and resistance, and between artist and government. Letter grading.
