What a shame Cristina is going to Moorehead next year! She truly made Spanish easy going. While I had taken up to AP Spanish 4 in high school, it has been two years since last taking Spanish. Luckily, much of it flooded back. She goes against the departmental convention of "immersion", making sure that any new topics are covered both in Spanish AND in English, making it easy to grasp the whole concept. While she certainly encourages questions asked in Spanish, she will gladly answer questions posed in English. Can't say much about the tests and hoemwork since that is determined by Schaffer, but in general, Cristina was a very effective TA, always helpful, and always energetic. And it's always fun to have occasional cultural deals...now I'm waiting for the pinata. :-)

Spring 2017 - This woman enforces rules that aren't on the syllabus and mark you down if she hears you speaking english. (syllabus does not even mention the word "english." She is truly uptight and will not let you catch a break. Every other spanish professor has had the distinct ability to create a warm friendly environment however Jennifer Monti is incapable since she is a cold, smug, self-righteous female dog, solely invested in her own agenda as a graduate student and thus is not interested in benefitting the lives of students. Honestly she just wants to come across well to her superiors and is a sad form of human existence.
