Spanish Composition
Description: Lecture, four hours. Requisite: course 25. Comprehensive review of Spanish grammar with attention given to advanced concepts and structures that are not covered in lower-level courses. Development of writing skills through application of grammar concepts. P/NP or letter grading.

Sherno is AMAZING. The class itself was not too easy, but not too difficult. There was homework every night, but it was manageable. We had four essays due overall, and she does grade pretty hard, but it's in a very constructive way that helps you out. There are no "tests," only quizzes on the readings and grammatical concepts that are well-covered in class. Before taking her class, I felt like I had reached a plateau and that I hadn't really learned any new Spanish since my first couple of years in high school. She made me realize just how much I really had learned in my six years of Spanish. If you can, take her class!

Dr. Thomas provided a great class for those who want to improve on their writing skills. I found the class to be very challenging with a lot of reading and journal writing, but it pays off after I realized how much I took away from the class. I feel more confident in my speaking and writing abilities and I wish she was offering more classes. I highly recommend taking her course.
