Professor Hart is a good resource of information on this topic. Her lectures could be a bit dry sometimes but paying attention and taking notes does help. There is a ton of reading you must for this class. I wouldn't recommend taking this class in conjunction with another heavy reading Soc class. If you do the readings and make good outlines on the key points and use the information Professor gave you as being the heart you should do well over all. I would try and only take this class with Kate as your TA, cause I don't know how I would have made it through had she not been there. Towards the end the material becomes more interesting, well at least to me. You learn a lot about food though and the sociological implications it has on us. Interesting stuff overall.
