I took Prof. Wen's class Spring of '07. As an English major I was used to reading the traditional works of English and some American writers. This class exposed me to the 'other' side of European literature; one that is unique and creative. The authors definitely breath a different kind of air in the part of Europe. The unreliable narrator takes center stage, as well as Modern and Postmodern styles. As far as Prof. Wen is concerned, he makes the materials more enjoyable. He's young and energetic. My criticism however is towards some students who take his class and seem to not care at all about the material. If you do your part i.e. read and participate, you will assure yourself a satisfactory grade.
