Research in Developmental Psychology
Description: Discussion, one hour; laboratory, three hours. Requisites: courses 10, 100A, 100B, and 130 or one course from 133A through 133I. Designed for Psychology and Cognitive Science majors. Forms of scientific writing; ethics of research, especially with minors; special advantages and problems of asking developmental research questions; relevant methodologies for experimental and observational work; data analyses and data presentation options. P/NP or letter grading.

Winter 2021 - Pretty easy lab. I like how everything was weighted equally, for ex: assignments 25%, paper 25%, participation 25......etc. It took a lot of weight off my shoulders. I was able to get an A pretty easily by always attending lecture and completing every assignment (received full points). I got a 93 on both my paper and poster. 8 page maximum, but I only did 6 and still got an A. I recommend this lab with Ankowski, however; she's a bit intimidating. I always went to the TA's office hours because of that. She doesn't seem welcoming but when you talk to her, she's pretty cool and helpful

Spring 2021 - STAYYY AWAYYYY FROM THIS CLASS. This has been by far the worst class I have ever taken. The professor is very unclear about what she expects and takes off points for things she didn't even mention. She insists that it needs to be part of your "critical thinking" and we are just supposed to know what to do. She is such a harsh grader and doesn't want her students to improve. This class was worse than 100B. Do yourself a favor and stay away.!!!
