I fournd Prof. Bjork to be a great lecturer. He is not John Hummel but he does a great job of making sure that the material is explained well. People did not do all that well on that short-answer exam, but in my opinion it was not that difficult. The readings are very interesting by psych standards (with a few exceptions). Overall you will learn something of value in his Human Memory class.

Winter 2019 - There are quizzes to 6/10 of the lectures and they usually take half an hour in class to complete. They are worth 50% of your grade. So you really have to study for them before every lecture. It took me approximately 1 hour to go over the slides from the last lecture every week. There is a newspaper-style short paper assignment that is worth 10% of your grade. Castel is pretty tolerant about them. There is also a final research paper and it accounts for 30% of the grade. 6-page double-spaced. You can select your own topic as long as it's relevant to the class.

Spring 2016 - I wasn't expecting to like this class, but I ended up loving it! Dr. Maoz is a really nice prof, and super helpful! Grades are made up of: 1 in class debate (not at all hard), weekly quizzes (he only counts top 5 out of 7, and if you pay attention in class you don't even have to study), a newspaper summary (super simple), participation (easy if you pay attention in class), and a presentation+paper (everyone got credit for doing the presentation, and the paper could be an actual project or a proposal). He even offered 3 points EC for doing 6hrs of SONA credits. Like I've said previously, the class is really interesting and easy if you pay attention in class. I sat in the back and could see when people were online shopping or doing other stuff on their computers. I later heard those people complain about grades, SO PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS.
