I agree with the poster below me about the TA being a big part of your class experience. I had Burgos for Global Studies 1 and he was a great professor. He was funny and kept the material relevant and interesting. However, I didn't not enjoy my TA whatsoever. I'm not gonna name him and put him on blast, but I will say that a lot of these professor reviews are ultimately useless if the person who's grading your exam and test is completely ambiguous and indirect.

I took Honors Collegium 130. Most boring professor in the world. Don't even bother going to class. There's no test. So don't take notes. Just write a paper about anything you want and give a presentation on it in class. Don't stress about the presentation because he seems to be as bored by student presentations as you'll be by his lectures.

I am THRILLED this professor is no longer the Chair of the department. It was almost unbelievable how poor he treated any concerns of the students. When I had a concern (and several of my classmates) about our professor he advised me to basically "be careful about what write about my concerns with the professor." I should have wrote to the Dean about it but I was struggling with work and school and I really didn't have time for his antics, needless to say, I am very happy with UCLA's decision to demote him.
