Fall 2020 - The topic for this quarter was "Global Health Politics." Dr. Csapo is one of my fav professors that I've taken! I love how knowledgable she is and her willingness to answer questions. The lectures and material were really engaging and I genuinely learned a lot. The workload was manageable, especially because all of the assignments/quizzes/midterm & final exams were due within a certain number of hours/days. The research paper (6-8 pages double-spaced) was really enjoyable because it allowed us to do extensive research on a country's health system. I also appreciated her helpful feedback on the assignments and research paper. Overall, this class and instructor are amazing and I definitely recommend taking a class with her if you can!

Spring 2024 - I highly recommend taking this class. It is very straightforward, with light coursework, and by light coursework I mean there is no homework. Your grade is made up of one midterm and one final, but it is not as scary as it sounds. The midterm can only help you, not hurt you. So, if you score higher on the Final than the midterm, the midterm is dropped. If you score higher on the midterm than the final, it is factored in to help boost your grade (or something like that). And, the midterm and final are both one essay question each that you answer, and he releases 3 potential essay questions a week before each exam so you can prepare. Either way, Lofchie is extremely reasonable, and should I say, an easy grader. I am sure anyone who puts in some effort and comes to class gets an A. He assigns readings but even that is not necessary to do because he goes into them in lecture. Just show up to class and utilize OH. Really, really easy class, and Lofchi is extremely knowledgeable in his field.
