Description: Lecture, three or four hours; discussion, one hour (when scheduled). Designed for juniors/seniors. Examination of one or several different uses of violence in revolutionary process: demonstrations, mass uprisings, coup d'etat, assassination, and terrorism. P/NP or letter grading.

Spring 2020 - my perception on this professor may be due taking him online during quarantine. he was not good with the technology and that is understandable. however, his lectures seemed extremely irrelevant to the topic he was supposed to discuss. his class structure changed multiple times throughout the quarter and so, many of us kept changing from letter grade to p/np. the readings were interesting but that was literally the only way I learned from this class.
