Having absolutely no background in courses relating to Latin America or economic development, I found this course to be rather interesting. Prof. Bergman is very clear, passionate, and always uploads her slides to the class website in advance. She gave us a studyguide for both our midterm and final, and only tested us on that material. Although readings can often be long, her grading system is fair and the pop quizzes are easy if you read the material. Ended up with an A in the class. I would recommend taking a class with her.

Professor johns is an amazing professor !!!!! Many students belive that she gives to much reading and too much information, but frankly that is how law school is going to be. She knows her information and she is super smart!!!!!!!!!!! I will come to class and I will be inspired even more . As for her test : one midterm and one final. Her midterm is LONG AND HER FINAL IS EVEN LONGER !!! however if you study every thing which I mean everything, you should get a good grade .! Study the readings !!! The weekly readings will be on the final and on the mind term!!! Read them! Understand them! And if you don't know ask the TAs. I had Francesca and she was GREAT!!!!!! She made the class super fun. She even took cookies for us! And I still keep in contact with her till now . Take the class you will work hard!, but you will be happy for what you accomplished . I got an A on this class :)
