Cool professor, very nice guy. His lectures are well organized and the pace of the class was just right. He has review sessions before all of the tests (2 midterms and a final) in which he really tries to stress the concepts that will be on the test. I definitely recommend this professor!

I also think he was a good teacher. He was not rude at all and he is concern with students learning as he always pauses to see if anyone have questions. He goes over homework whenever he can during class and in his office hours. He IS very generous in his grading and his tests are very straight forward. He does give a lot of questions on the tests but gives one (1) point for each questions so if you miss a few u can still get a good grade on the midterms/final, unlike some teachers who give about four questions per test but each question worth like 30 points so if u miss one u go down to a B-/C. I recommend this teacher to whoever. By the way, his accent is not that bad at all, to me he was clear enough to understand everything.

Spring 2017 - Some of the reviews on here are really unfair. Dr. Holczer is probably one of the nicest professors I have ever had at UCLA. He really does care about whether or not you do well in his class. I really didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first went to class because his writing can be illegible and I felt like dropping the class, but I stuck with it and it paid off. I went to his office hours frequently and he was really helpful. He also stuck around for like15 minutes after class one time to answer my questions. He really did help me see the value of physics and for that I am appreciative. Not all professors are perfect and Holczer is by no means a perfect professor, but he is kind and completely fair to the class. His tests are just like the Mastering Physics and recommended problems. I never missed a lecture, I would bring my book with me to lecture and open it up to the same lesson he was going over in class and take notes as he was talking so I could better understand the lecture. I haven't been in a single physics class that didn't require me to read the book, so note, that this is what comes along with any physics class. Just do the homework and you will be set, it could be a lot sometimes but it is a great review. Also go to office hours and ask him your questions, he is more than willing to help. Good Luck!! And don't listen to everything on bruinwalk they probably never went to class and therefore struggled. It isn't all that bad, I survived and it was by far the easiest physics class I have taken at UCLA.

This class was NOT COOL at all...like everyone else said, there was no happy medium in Huffman's tests. The first midterm was so easy that he made the second midterm and the final impossible. I wish I could have taken someone else and saved my Physics grade. The demos were cool, but not worth it, especially since nobody I knew learned anything in lecture. If you take his class, you're on your own.

Prof. Jiang is so entertaining! He is a naturally funny person and a dynamic speaker. He gets very enthusiastic about the material, and is truly concerned about student learning. His explanations are clear and very helpful, and his midterm questions are taken straight from the HW problems. His final was very difficult, but I'd still recommend him. He's a great way to end the physics series.:)

Spring 2016 - Koutroulakis is HAWT. That being said, he's also a pretty good lecturer. He's young (like early 30s I'd guess) so he's still really passionate and engaging when he lectures and talks about physics. He really wants the class to participate and encourages it. He remembers students names who go to office hours and routinely will acknowledge them during lecture, which is nice. He has a Greek accent but it's easy to understand (makes him hotter anyway). 6C is usually considered the easiest of the 6 series, and I'd have to agree with that, but this class is still challenging. BEWARE, because he WILL ask questions on the midterm over a topic that he literally JUST lectured over 1 or 2 lectures before the test!!!! He did that for our second midterm and I was not prepared for a full question to be over such a recent topic! I heard another girl say that he did the exact same thing in her 6A class, so just beware! The format of his midterms are 5 multiple choice questions and ~3 free response questions (with multiple parts, a, b, c, etc.). The final is about twice as long as the midterm. I got low Cs/D+ on both midterms so I was freaking out, but I pulled it together and did well on the final and got a B+ in the class. The labs/homework/clicker grades help, and I personally think that he made the final more manageable. But I also studied a ton. Overall I would suggest taking him, he's passionate about physics, engaging, and he doesn't stutter/stumble over his words, say "uh" a lot, etc. Plus remember he is hot.
