Spring 2024 - Not a great class, not a great professor, it felt like the professor was trying to teach us things in math we didn't know by relating it to physics things we didn't know... Yeah, who knew it wasn't gonna work... The lectures were just solving problems and never had a formal mathematical explanation of anything, he made me more confused about linear algebra than I was before taking that class. I felt like I didn't really learn anything except for the last part about solving PDEs and the Fourier stuff, but that ended up being rushed because we wasted time doing taylor series and linear transformations which were already covered. The exams were really easy but any small mistake was fatal and the grading was really rough

Winter 2023 - Do not take Zocchi. He is incredibly unclear and often goes down rabbit holes trying to prove something for 30 minutes, wasting class time when he could've just written down the proof in his notes. The material for this class is very useful, but take it with a different professor who will teach it better.
