Brain Imaging and Brain Stimulation

Description: Lecture, four hours. Limited to graduate students in neuroscience, bioengineering, psychology, and School of Medicine. Introduction to fields of brain imaging and brain stimulation, including various imaging modalities and neurostimulation strategies. Introduction to use of brain imaging in isolation or in combination with brain stimulation to understand neural circuitry, systems, and networks in health and disease. Encourages critical thinking about opportunities and limitations of two fields, and how to overcome them by combining two approaches for investigation of brain systems and functions. S/U or letter grading.
