Fall 2022 - This is the easiest music theory class available at UCLA. However, it was still difficult material if you are new to music theory. The professor is super funny and will help you a lot if you reach out. The tests in my opinion were the hardest part and very all over the place. But overall the class was kinda chill just a lot of studying comes along with it.

Winter 2022 - Phelps is an ass. He gives you quizzes you do not understand and acts like you should know the material (maybe I would if he taught it). You learn more from the homework than him. Despite being garbage at teaching you anything he is condescending all the time and is straight up rude to students. Get out of Phelps class if you can!
