I was shocked at this professor's teaching style. Our two hour lectures were always just over an hour which is bad since this class is necessary for the Fluids Preliminary Exam. Before I took this class, I had heard that he always has his "favorite" students in class. Sure enough when I took this class, I found this to certainly be true as he always chatted with these students in class and I have no doubt they did well. If I were you, I would wait to take this class until Karagozian or some other professor teaches the course.
