Radio is a good professor. However the tests are notoriously hard. Although I got a B in my first midterm, I quickly re-strategized to improve. The key is to have access to the relevant past papers. I'm selling Rogawski as well as the collection of past papers for $25 dollars. Email at:*************

Summer 2015 - He is a good professor, and I took this class during CSI, which means this is my first class at UCLA. I don't quite know how to study in college, but i can feel that professor Anand is a great professor, he showed the proofs of theorems in class, which really helped. However, i am not a math person, and things go on so fast, so i don't do well. Maybe i should take it during a normal quarter.

I thought Renfrew was a good instructor. He spent most of the class going over example problems. As for the exams, the material was very straightforward. He always gave out a previous midterm/final and practice problems. Study these and similar problems and you should be fine. There is partial credit given for questions. The homework each week was a couple problems. It would have been a lot easier for me if I had a study group (form one if you can). I ended up with an A in the class, not too difficult if you have taken calculus before.

Professor Richthammer was a very caring teacher but at the same time he was awful at presenting topics to those of us who had not taken calculus already. He was more concerned with the proving of obscure topics than getting to the basics and helping people who were learning the subject. Every week I would have to spend hours daily in the tutoring lab just to finish the homework and barely pull a B- on average. To top it off his midterms and finals were ridiculously hard, making it almost impossible to succeed even if you try your hardest. I wish him the best, but do not take him unless you want to be miserable.
