Financial Economics for Actuarial Students

Description: Lecture, four hours. Enforced requisites: courses 170A and 170B (or Statistics 100A and 100B), 172A. Not open for credit to students with credit for course 174E, Economics 141, or Statistics C183/C283. Specifically designed to prepare students for Society of Actuaries Models for Financial Economics examination. Introduction to basic concepts of financial economics, including interest rate models, rational valuation of derivative securities, and risk management. Letter grading.
