Description: Tutorial, three hours. Limited to students in College Honors Program. Designed as adjunct to lower-division lecture course. Individual study with lecture course instructor to explore topics in greater depth through supplemental readings, papers, or other activities. May be repeated for maximum of 4 units. Individual honors contract required. Honors content noted on transcript. Letter grading.

As I said in my review below. I took Schein for LS 2. In conjunction, I took LS 89. It's the best honors course I've ever taken. It's easy & interesting. If you just do a lecture every week (you need to do 10 total so you can double up on a week or two when you don't want to do seminars during midterms). Do not save the lectures up for the end of the quarter. My friend did & it was miserable for her. Make sure you keep track of how many discussions you go to (you only need to go to 5). This class is super easy. You don't even need ot understand the seminar. He says, "you can tell me about the coffee they served. Just prove you went" when he describes what he wants in the summaries. Seriously, EASIEST HONORS A ever. TAKE THIS CLASS!
