Spring 2021 - I'm not sure if this needs to be said, but Professor Shigehito sadly passed away suddenly during my spring quarter while teaching this class. He was an extremely caring and thoughtful professor who always looked out for us and genuinely cared for us learning Japanese. He will be missed, and I am sad that I won't be able to see him in person in the fall.
