Description: Seminar, four hours. Requisite: course 245. Exposure to major literatures across spectrum of disciplines in three broad areas: (1) arts and humanities, (2) social sciences, (3) natural sciences and engineering. Students become familiar with knowledge structures; emphasis on reference and information sources for scholarly research. Letter grading.
