I took professor Gessler for his Honors 67 Artificial Life and Culture class. I found the class to be very interesting. Professor Gessler was very concerned about student learning, and did a good job teaching students of all different levels how to program and about the various ALICE topics. I would definitely recommend professor Gessler in the future, especially if he is teaching any cryptography classes(there are rumors)

I would strongly encourage anyone who is firm in their belief that they despise science to take Huffman's Honors 67 Course. First of all, he is probably one of the best professors I have had here. He knows his material; he is not simply B.S.ing his way through it. Though I'm sure that the majority of the people in his class (and let's face it, the majority of the people in this world) are slightly terrified of quantum mechanics, (eg. me) he made this topic incredibly interesting and applicable to everyday life. This class met at 9am four days a week and honestly it didn't bother me. I looked forward to his class every day. His witty comments kept you awake, and he actually asks your opinion about most every issue discussed. This class really allows you to learn through various sources, other than the "sage on the stage." I would encourage Huffman to any student here, and especially his HONC 67 class. P.S.If you are concerned about getting a good grade in this class....all I'll say is he really didn't seem to care about whether or not you know the nit-picky details of every topic...he just wants to expand your horizons and enlighten you. I honestly think he just wants you to learn, and these are always the professors that you wind up getting a good grade from.
