Description: Seminar, four hours. Limited to Freshman Summer Program students. Exploration of interdisciplinary dimensions of medical representation, with emphasis on cross-cultural 20th-century portrayals of profession, including representations of doctor/patient relations, healthcare sites and circumstances, aging, alternative treatments, and mental health. Offered in summer only. P/NP or letter grading.

Summer 2016 - The calass is entirely reading based. The readings are engaging but beware he gives one 400 page novel to read in a week. The book is ok but the reading amount is unbearable.
