Topics include Machiavelli's contributions to political thought, turmoil of 16th-century France and Dutch Republic and their radical underside of Protestant thought, French Wars of Religion, Dutch revolt against Spanish, English Civil Wars, and radical thought of European Enlightenment and its contributions to French Revolution.
