Winter 2016 - Jorge is amazing. I had to take 96w as a pre-req for my history major. Grading: -40% participation (yes, seriously) -40% research paper -10% one time presentation -10% weekly reading comments There are weekly readings, which you discuss in class. The whole class is basically a discussion of the reading led by one or two presented each week (the 10%). You can skim through the reading to get the general sense of it and just talk about it in class. Jorge guides you throughout the course for your presentation & essay. NO MIDTERM OR FINAL!!! the research paper is a 12-15 pg essay with a topic of your choice. I HATE and SUCK at writing, and i pulled off a B+ for the paper. He told us the lowest grade he gave on a written essay was like a C+. what a nice dude. You only meet once a week, so going to class is your grade, and he will take attendance. (class of >20 only) JORGE is awesome, and I definitely recommend him!!
