I had absolutely no choice but to take three of his classes for my major and hated each class with a passion. He cannot lecture to save his life. He just starts talking and there is no true purpose to what he says. Believe me, you will learn nothing in his classes, and to make matters worse, he doesn't even stay within the geographical area he's meant to teach about. The films he shows are stupid. The tests are a disgrace and his grades are based on whether or not the TAs like you. I'm sorry to those that endure him because they have no choice. Hopefully you don't come away hating Latin America for it.
