Spring 2023 - This class was alright. The content is not very interesting, so that makes the class really hard to sit through. The essays were pretty doable and the discussions helped. Pack your cheatsheet with info and it'll help you on the exams. That's the other thing that's annoying about this class. There are exams and essays instead of just one or the other.

I worked really hard, taking every single word he says into notes and reviewing them multiple times. But I ended up with an A- simply because the test ask very specific questions which are easily overlooked. You better not take this class if you don't have previous exposure to Chinese language and Chinese history - cuz you will probably earn a B+ at the very best.
