He actually taught Global Studies 1, but I don't know why it's not on the list. Anyways he was very chill and easy going professor. Although he frequently went off the topics because he only has graphs and photos on the slide. Make sure to do the readings and go to the sections because TAs are the one who's grading your midterm and final

Fall 2015 - This class was really, really easy and required almost no work outside of the lab sections. Seriously the easiest A I have ever received at UCLA. Course material is entirely review from whatever science classes you took in high school. Lectures are interesting and the professor is just a really cool guy. I'd definitely recommend this class to anyone who needed a science GE and specifically Fricker as a professor for this class for all of the Geography majors who need to take this as a requirement.

Fall 2017 - First of all, Bridget Gonzalez is such a queen. She is so passionate about what she does and really does her best to make a pretty dull topic interesting. The slides are posted (she uses all her original pictures) but going to lecture definitely helps. Reading the textbook is pretty optional but it does expand on topics so it helps. Labs are super easy and not much work at all. Midterm and final are multiple choice. Overall really good GE!

Fall 2021 - This class has asynchronous lectures and in-person discussions during my quarter. The lectures are not very clear and helpful for understanding. Sometimes I feel like I gain something more when I read the textbooks on my own. The contents of the class are very interesting but the format and presentations may make them look so boring. However, the reading quizzes, midterms, and labs are comparatively easy for my other classes; they are very straightforward. Each week you need to finish several things in order to meet the deadlines, which I think is also well-structured. However, at the very beginning of the quarter, the professor changed a lot of units for reading and syllabus which made me, and some other students, be confused. I attended several office hours but I did not think they were helpful for my understandings. This is an easy GE class, but not a very satisfying and engaging class.

No matter how much she says that you do not need rote-memorization, trust me you do ! I didn't go for many lectures ans still got an A-. The stuff is really really simple. So basically, you have to update your blog every week with a write up and post an image of your lab. There is this software called ArcGIS which is used to create maps. You just make different maps every week and write a paragraph on it and that's your post. There are 2 exams one midterm and one final. You sit in front of the computer and they are multiple choice ! (35% each exam). Just memorize (throughly) her lecture slides a day or two before the exam and go give it. The question are straight out of the slides. I would say take this GE if you want to get done with a requirement and want an easy A

I had this professor for Geog 108, World Vegetation. He does have a Russian accent, but i didn't find it difficult the understand. Especially because everything you need to know is written on a slide, which he uploads to the course website. He also uploads a study guide, which almost exactly mirrors his mid-term and final, which are comprised of 100-130 multiple choice, fill in the blank and very short answer questions. Take this course if you want an easy A. Go to class and take the quizzes and do the study guide and you will get an A.

Professor Orme is incredible. I have never learned so much in a GE before. It really helps if you are interested in details because Professor Orme will test you on those. His tests are tough but the curve is great because you really know who deserves the A. He has 2 hours of office hours a week and is always available to help. GO TO OFFICE HOURS!!!! He is such a neat guy and he will help you out with anything. It is also really important to attend lecture and write everything down because anything he mentions is fair game for the exams. TAKE ORME!!!
