Fall 2020 - Ok I just needed a place to vent about this class's week 9 MindTap homework. Like it was going well for 8 weeks but then they decide to pull this bullshit on us. Normally homework would take like 10-15 minutes but without warning it all of a sudden take 1-2 hours and is far more difficult. I don't think anyone besides suffering students have taken a look at these questions. French 4 is aight an I don't think anyone who is going to take it really has a choice, but the format of the class rests somewhere between bullshit and clusterfuck. It's pretty easy and straightforward if you already know French from high school or you're French, but if you're new to French I wish you the best of luck cause you'll need it.

Mme Dufresne is genuinely prepared for each lecture she gives, which is great. She also grades fairly but critically - she points out each mistake you make, giving you as many opportunities to learn as possible. Therefore, her grading is essentially fair. However, sometimes she seems uncaring. It was definitely a class in which I subsisted on self-motivation. She brought a lot to the material, and provided ample opportunities to engage in the texts; but, for me, her distance made it hard for me to be excited about French.
