Fall 2021 - first off, the grade in this class is fully based on 3 essays (only 1000 words tho) and 1 final mind map project (so if you hate writing don't take this class), that are all graded by your TA so make sure to be on your TA's good side. However, the lectures were kind of all over the place as it is pretty much just her talking with pictures on the screen, nothing written down to show you important take aways. The readings/films for homework are WAY too much content. You do not have to look at it all, because there is no graded homework, however, it makes the final project hard if you don't read. I would not recommend this for a GE, but if you are really interested in film as well as how colors/light relates to our culture, this professor has some interesting stuff to say. For me personally it way just alot of over analyzing texts and films that gave me no knowledge i would ever you in real life. Prof is nice tho!

My evaluation is on English M126 which is called Introduction to Feminist and Queer Theory. So far, this has got to be one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken IN MY LIFE! The material is very fascinating and even though it is theory, she succeeds in helping us see the connections between the theories and the present day. I had a wonderful time in this class because the lecture material was so relevant to today's world. I mean, who doesn't enjoy learning about the politics behind sexuality and gender? It's personal, but it's also political and that's one of the lessons I've learned from this class. She records her lectures and she also uses PowerPoint slides, so no need to worry about missing any information. She seriously cares more about her students than any other professor I've seen yet. She cares A LOT about students opinions (she even included them in a lecture). Very few professors take student opinions that seriously. She is also organized, which is always a plus. I recommend her because she is an intellectual, as well as sincere and cordial which is a combination that is hard to find among professors.

Excellent professor and class. She is a very interactive and energetic professor who encourages her students to participate in lectures. It was a fairly large class, yet everyone spoke at least twice. The class has no midterm or final and it consists of biweekly writing assignments. Each one is worth 4.5 points and they add up to 90 at the end of the year and the last 10% is participation. The class is split up into 3 sections: advertising, film and museums. Every unit was very interesting and I took a lot out of the class. It was also fairly easy class if you put an hour into your assignments.
