Description: Seminar, three hours. Study of aesthetic, historical, and social backgrounds to literatures of former British colonies that became independent after 1947. General issues related to way imperialism, colonialism, and postcolonialism have helped to shape and have been shaped by literature in English. May be repeated for credit. S/U or letter grading.
